Kingston Neighbourhood Plan
This is your opportunity to have a say in how the parish of Kingston develops over the next 15 years.
Kingston Neighbourhood Plan is a Community Plan and must derive its objectives, actions and authority from you, the Community.
The Kingston Neighbourhood Plan Task Group is developing a Neighbourhood Plan for Kingston and has created this website to share the latest information and findings with you. The website records progress and gives you every opportunity to be involved and to tell the Task Group what you want. This website is part of our Communication Process.

The draft Plan was approved by Kingston Parish Council in April 2019 and is available for consultation in August and September 2019, then, after making any changes resulting from the consultation, it will go to South Hams DC for further consultation. SHDC will appoint an external inspector and, ultimately, all voting Parishioners will be asked to vote whether or not they accept the Plan.
If it is then supported by a majority of residents, the Plan will be adopted by South Hams District Council as the Kingston element of the Joint Local Plan for the South Hams, West Devon and Plymouth. It will form the basis for determining planning applications for the Parish of Kingston.
A Neighbourhood Plan can set policies for development and use of land, identify key local priorities, allocate sites for housing or other development. More detail here.
Most importantly it will be YOUR PLAN.
