At an Extraordinary Meeting in August, Kingston Parish Council agreed to develop a  Neighbourhood Plan for Kingston and to set up a Task Group to start the work immediately.

Membership of the Task Group includes:

Parish Councillors:
Flo Watts
Sally Richardson

Parish residents,
Judy Alloway ( chair)
Alan Coleman-Smith
Richard Dalley
Rae Wallin ( Secretary).

Group membership will grow and/or change as the Plan develops and different areas of expertise and skills are needed. There will also be a wider group of parishioners, for both consultation purposes and to join sub groups for focusing on particular policy areas when these begin to emerge.

The Group is now tasked with producing a draft Plan. The Terms of Reference for the Task Group are here. kingstonnplterms-of-ref

The Task Group will provide regular updates and easily accessible, extensive information to the whole area using publicity, public events/open meetings, local press, parish newsletter, leaflet drops, banners/posters and electronic and social media.

The Task Group will actively seek feedback and views using surveys/questionnaires, consultation events and electronic and social  media.

The Task Group will work directly with the community throughout  the process.

This will require a high level of participation by the community as the NDP is developed. We want you, the community to contribute to the decision making by joining us on focus groups, workshops and social media. The Task Group is determined to work in partnership with you in the development of options and of a preferred position.

Please contact the task group if you feel that you are able to offer your help and advice in any way. New members are always very welcome to join the group, but a commitment to be involved is needed. Within the current Project Plan, fortnightly meetings are planned.
